Summer is creeping in and will open to a glorious Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year. Spirit is intuitively imparting to me new insight about this time of year. It is with my hand on my heart that I transcribe what I have been told and I share it with you now. It is about love…

Sunlight signifies the sun as the source and the light that comes from that source. If we take this to the next level, Source represents the creator of all and therefore, it is the light that comes from the Creator. This is the light of love…for all…from One Source.

This is a time for the realization of love and the bonding of the masculine and feminine energies. It has been the most popular time for weddings and the uniting of two that come together to create. A time to create new life, new desires, hopes, dreams and new beginnings.

You have worked so hard through the years to understand whom you are, to forgive yourself and to stretch to be the best you can be. It is an ongoing process that leads you more deeply into the soul journey of self-awareness and self-love. To understand love, we must understand how to love ourselves first. It seems easy to extend love generously to everyone else while always putting yourself last. That is backwards and does not work. Once you have learned this, you will fully understand, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

It has been said that opposites attract. The goal is to reach wholeness and to do that you need two opposites or halves to form one bond. That was especially true in the past. One needed to be the counterpart of another, so there would be complete balance when they were brought together. As the last 40 years have progressed, that type of relationship became a teaching ground only. Each person instinctively began to take a little from the other with the hope that each individual would become whole and balanced within themselves. The human spirit strived to reach this point, but most of the time it failed. One person would grow and become balanced, while their partner remained the same…out of balance. The result has been an epidemic of divorced middle-aged families painfully looking for the answers to true happiness.

This is the search for wholeness within. When you personally have reached the balance of yin/feminine and yang/masculine qualities you will no longer be attracted to your opposite. There no longer is an opposite! You will now be attracted to someone like you…balanced. And then you will truly begin to experience the energy of love by SHARING your life with another with similar dreams, desires and goals. Sharing is the key, no longer dependent on another for your happiness.

Your home surrounds this personal journey for love in every way, self-love, extended love and secure love. Your home may be likened to the center of your life, as your soul is the center point of your existence. It is important to secure that source to maintain proper balance within. A Kahil Gibran quote from “The Prophet” defines this point perfectly, “…your house is your larger body..it grows in the sun and sleeps in the stillness of the night…and it is not dreamless..and tell me…what have you in these houses?..and what is it you guard with fastened doors?...have you peace, the quiet urge that reveals your power?”

Home is where a sharing relationship of two people, that have learned to be balanced individually, come to live in a place of peace. Within this place they feel secure, safe and inspired to weave their dreams into reality. Home is where your heart is held. It takes love, patience, understanding and commitment to turn a house, apartment or condo into a home. Once you have found where your heart wants to be, you will also find where your visions for your life will be anchored into reality.

How do we turn a house into this place of love? We do it with conscious thought, hard work, financial commitment and diligence. Every day of income is money earned for the purpose of securing this home. Now that you love yourself and you are sharing your life with someone who does the same, you both will unite to do loving things to build your foundation upon. These loving things directly relate to your earning potential and your spending habits. As you build equity in your home, you are also securing your future economic status. You are implementing a life of balance, love and peace.

As I have mentioned in the past, a great deal of illness is a result of the stress from our financial lives. It could be a genetic memory from the way in which our parents or grandparents dealt with money or the way in which we ourselves relate to money.

These attitudes, many of which are not healthy, were in many ways born out of the great depression. Many learned people today believe we are in or approaching another economic depression. There could be no doubt that the current financial crises have caused many of you to obsess incessantly about your economic lives. More and more frequently, I am finding this fear to be the core energy.

If home is where the heart is and love is born from our hearts, then the way we handle, view and structure our house, physically, emotionally and yes, financially, can lead us to the balance, love and contentment that may heal and maintain us.

Personally, I recently refinanced a piece of property and released a tremendous amount of positive energy in the process. By rearranging the equity in it, many benefits were realized. In the process, what I learned for myself is well worth sharing.

In our home, blessings continue. It is with enormous love and gratitude that I welcome new members into our family. On the eve of the solstice, June 20, 2009 my amazing son, Christopher will wed his best friend Jan and welcome her daughter, Aryanna into the Salvo family. This young couple is a joy to watch. They embody the essence of this special love.

In less than two years, we have lost the physical presence of three and in the past few months we welcome three new members into our family. The cycle of life and love is the continuation of surprising blessings in every way.

It is with great love in my heart, that I pray for the awareness of many miracles in your life as well, beginning with you!
