Creating New Peace October 1, 2009
My favorite time of year is here. Northeastern USA has been my primary residence all of my life and what a fantastic place to be in autumn. When you are moving so quickly through life, nature has a way of halting you in your steps as the trees begin to change color. The rich fullness of green slowly turns to the golden reflections of the summer sun with the splash of orange and crimson as the recall of recent sunsets.
Every year this happens no matter what is going on in life. There is no stopping this process, it just is. We are not creating it, it is the creation birthed from the Divine miracles of life. It is slow, concise and purpose driven. This is all done in preparation of dropping trillions of leaves to cover the ground and offer fertilization and protection from the winter. I am now aware that they also “leave” the trees to release the burden of weight from the promise of ice and snow to come.
Several years ago an unexpected ice storm at the beginning of October damaged so many trees that our area is still recovering from it. This act of nature will not be forgotten. Many people remember hearing the sounds of branches breaking and falling through the night. I remember praying that they did not hit the house as the next morning revealed that occurrence for so many people. We were without electricity for days, while others waited for weeks.
There were many profound realizations made about the power of nature and the affects on our lives. We were brought back to a time without internet, television, cordless phones, cell phones, refrigeration, warmth and lighting. People were introspectively surprised by the realization that they enjoyed the quiet, uninterrupted time with their families. They played games, had great conversations, checked on neighbors and came back to a time of true community. This brought an awareness of how much we all long for the simplicity of life and what really is about.
How often do we take for granted the ongoing process of the seasons, the unexpected twists and turns of nature and the unforetold consequences of it all? As I recall, my meditations at that time brought me to a depth of understanding of why this happened. My connection with the universe enabled me to hear the voice of the trees. I “heard” that it was a time for “breaking” down the old in preparation for the new. Many of these trees had been burdened with disease and it was nature’s way of pruning. Hundreds of very old trees were completely uprooted and new, healthy trees have since been planted in their place. What symbolism for what was to come in all our lives in the next few years!
The patterns that I am presently seeing in my office are about choosing change. There is far too much pain, not to want change. Those that have been doing their internal healing are starting to experience hope while those that never began are parallel to the October ice storm and are breaking down from overburden. It is all in preparation of letting go of the old and allowing the new to grow. This is mostly occurring involuntarily in career choices and often voluntarily in relationships. Many are being forced into new types of jobs out of pure necessity while marriages are collapsing from the overburden of ice upon their limbs. These changes are about letting go of something you are no longer in sync with to allow for new vision and inner growth. However painful, there are many blessings within the process.
There is a blanket of sadness, grief and yes, fear that is covering all of these changes. We have been moving so swiftly into the future, while the foundations of our beliefs have been collapsing. The past illusively felt safe at the time. It will never be the same again and for good reason. I am certain that we must ease ourselves past resistance and allow a gentle movement through the process. It carries with it a unique, indescribable hope and new possibilities that are surprising us daily. We all know that change is here. We all are struggling with the process of endings and beginnings, but if you allow yourself the change, peace beyond your most focused imagination will embrace you for all time. We must stop the predetermined fear and resistance and just be still within the moments to actualize a new place called home.
Home is inside of you and that is where it will all begin. So, if you are fearful about how fast your life is uncontrollably changing before your eyes, then choose instead to sit in a state of gratitude, trust and peace. Your home begins in the deepest recesses of your heart and soul; from there you will create your future through intent and in connection with your Higher Self. Enjoy the endless possibilities and trust that the parts of you that intend the best for you will bring this all into reality. There is much peace and strength when you lift your heart to heaven and choose to fly.
Through this process, the outcome is meant to be a new foundation of free will based on pure love and self-respect. You have embraced self accountability, you have forgiven your past choices, now trust that all you create will be for your highest good, filled with truth and joy. I just simplified this for you in two sentences! It is simple and that means it is easier than we tend to make it. This is a time for simplicity, trust and peace. You have arrived!
It is my intent to hold the space of this truth for all and wrap it with the vibrations of laughter, playfulness and great joy. I trust in the process of Divine life and I choose to connect fully with it for the creation of a new world. May you continue to feel and see the blessings within you and the reality of their manifestation around you.
Many blessings, love and light,
Joyce
